Portland Youth Dance
WHO
ARE WE?
Portland Youth Dance (PYD) is a non-profit organization whose
mission is to cultivate personal artistic growth for youth
while striving for creative excellence in dance.
PYD
supports three individual causes. We support a dance scholarship
program, an educational outreach program, and the UpBeat Feet
Dance Company. Open auditions for UpBeat Feet are held every
September for teens between the age of 12 and 18. Members
of this company are given superior dance instruction, numerous
performance and traveling opportunities, and direct involvement
with our community outreach program.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
PYD promotes leadership by engaging in all aspects of show
production. PYD develops character
through dance performance and diverse cultural works. PYD
promotes service through educational and performance outreach
programs.
